Abstract
In this text my thesis will be that all idealism has an Augustinian mood, because Augustinism is its inception. I do not want to say that Augustine is idealistic, but that idealism is Augustinian. To support it, we will make a strictly philosophical reading of the question, so that the Bishop is seen as a structural moment of an effective and real articulation that has been configuring what we are today in West. So, this text should be taken, in its entirety, as a vivisection of idealism and, together with it, as a demand for its philosophical narcissism; that is why we point out that the metaphysics of our time must be radically different. Before concluding this, the text passes three moments: 1) the horizon from which the confession will start, 2) philosophical introduction to the notion of confession and 3) confession about philosophical idealism.
Keywords
Subjectivity, insight, problem of the external world, phenomenology, realism, Xavier Zubiri.
